Description of a Manufactured Land Lease Housing Community

A manufactured housing land lease community is a residential subdivision designed and improved with sites for the placement of HUD Code manufactured homes and related improvements and amenities. The owner of each home leases the site on which the home is located from the community owner. The community owner owns the underlying land, utility connections, streets, lighting, driveways, common area amenities and other capital improvements and is responsible for the enforcement of community guidelines and maintenance. Each homeowner is responsible for the maintenance of the individual home.
